🦜 Proč papoušci koušou postroje — a jak tomu předejít 😊

Tohle je jedna z nejčastějších otázek, které dostáváme.

Mnoho lidí si myslí, že když papoušek postroj kouše, znamená to automaticky, že mu postroj vadí. Ve skutečnosti to ale často bývá úplně jinak.

👉 Žádný postroj na světě není nezničitelný, pokud papoušek dostane možnost ho cíleně kousat.
To platí pro všechny značky i všechny typy postrojů.

Papouščí zobák dokáže zničit téměř cokoliv. Proto je velmi důležité, jak se s postrojem pracuje a jak papoušek celý proces vnímá.

✅ Nejdůležitější pravidlo:
Postroj nasadit doma a ihned jít ven.

Venku papoušek:
• vnímá okolí
• sleduje nové podněty
• řeší létání, pohyb a prostředí
• a mnohem méně se soustředí na samotný postroj

Naopak pokud papoušek:
❌ sedí doma
❌ nudí se
❌ řeší jen postroj
❌ nebo se dlouho stresuje při nasazování

…velmi často začne postroj okusovat.

Proto je důležité:
• rychlé a klidné nasazení
• správná velikost
• pohodlný postroj
• odvádění pozornosti
• a hlavně trpělivost 😊

Z našich dlouholetých zkušeností víme, že konstrukce postroje hraje obrovskou roli. Pokud postroj dobře sedí, netlačí, má dostatek prostoru kolem hlavy a jde rychle nasadit i sundat, papoušek ho většinou přijímá mnohem lépe.

Mnoho zákazníků nám píše, že jejich papoušek měl problém s jinými typy postrojů, ale s naším si zvykl výrazně rychleji. Často se jedná i o starší papoušky, kteří předtím postroj nikdy nenosili.

Každý papoušek je samozřejmě jiný ❤️
Ale správný přístup, klid a trpělivost dokážou udělat obrovský rozdíl.

This is one of the most common questions we receive.

Many people think that if a parrot chews the harness, it automatically means the harness is uncomfortable. But in reality, it is often something completely different.

👉 No harness in the world is indestructible if a parrot is given enough time and opportunity to intentionally chew it.
This applies to all brands and all harness types.

A parrot's beak can destroy almost anything. That is why the way the harness is introduced and used is extremely important.

✅ The most important rule:
Put the harness on at home and immediately go outside.

Outside, the parrot:
• focuses on the environment
• watches new surroundings
• thinks about flying, movement and stimulation
• and pays far less attention to the harness itself

On the other hand, if the parrot:
❌ sits at home
❌ becomes bored
❌ focuses only on the harness
❌ or experiences long stressful harness sessions

…then the parrot will very often begin chewing the harness.

That is why these things are very important:
• calm and quick harness application
• correct sizing
• a comfortable harness
• redirecting the parrot's attention
• and above all, patience 😊

From our many years of experience, we know that harness construction plays a huge role. If the harness fits well, does not put pressure around the head and can be put on and removed quickly, parrots usually accept it much more easily.

Many customers tell us that their parrots had problems with other harness types, but adapted to ours much faster. In many cases, these are even older parrots that had never worn a harness before.
